SNAPSHOTS: Steven & Veysi’s S2000 Duo

It is often difficult to find 2 individuals who share many life aspects in common with each other. Steven and Veysi, however, happen to do so: they are both mechanical engineering students; they are both automotive enthusiasts; they both love Hondas; and they both own quality S2000s. Such commonalities have materialised to this pair of cars.

Honda S2000s were chosen by Steven and Veysi for their solid platform for modification as well as it being arguably one of Honda’s greatest creations – a light, RWD convertible with prowess not only in handling but also in the power department, with it’s F20C producing the most power per unit displacement in a naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder mass-production engine.

Both were bought as stock examples, though slightly differed tastes have led to a divergence in their manifestations. Steven has been influenced by the USDM scene, whereas Veysi has endeavoured for a slighty more subtle approach to modifying his S2000. Not forgetting that both cars are their daily drivers, simple modifications were gradually undertaken such as a front lip, boot lip, intake and exhaust on Steven’s S2000 and intake and a Varex adjustable muffler on Veysi’s.

Setting the cars apart from one another is their wheel choice. Steven’s S2000 features BBS RSs measuring 16×8.5 and 16×9 inches on the front and rear respectively while Veysi completes his S2000 with a set of Work VS-XXs at 17×8 inches on the front and 17×9 inches on the rear.

Steven and Veysi’s S2000 duo is definitely one of a kind. Together they epitomise the age-old adage that “things are always better in pairs.”
