EVENT: JDM Style Tuning August EOMM

I’ve been to many JDM Style Tuning end of month meets but this one had to be one of the most abnormal meets I’ve been to. This month’s meet was hosted by Top Secret Imports and the Project D Drift School at the Top Secret showroom. So how was it unusual? Well they had entertainment. They had a DJ mixing music, buggies crushing Commodores and sausage sizzles not running out. The cops actually came out just to check up on us and not hand out defects. So I think the organisers deserve a pat on the back for all their efforts. It definitely isn’t easy organising such events with the amount of cars that rock up to these meets. I mean there was virtually NO PARKING left. Hundreds and hundreds of cars filled up Forge St in Blacktown. The atmosphere was great and it’s events like these that make the Sydney car scene come alive.
There was quite a crowd gathering outside the Top Secret showroom.

To see this thing crush the Commodore.

There was nice display of the Project D Drift School cars.

And one in the making?

Let’s have a peak into the Top Secret Imports showroom.

And a bigger peak…

The meet saw a wide range of cars, from JDM styled Honda’s..

to very high powered 4WD machines..

to exotics.

Even World Time Attack competitor Jason Naidoo rocked up in his Time Attack Evo, which looked a little strange in street spec without it’s huge rear wing.

The Cars For Hope movement is a dream come true. It’s been an amazing ride since 2011 and a privilege to bring my heart to work every day. I get to wake up every day and write things that I really believe and say things that I really believe. I get to be creative trying to encourage people and move people to know that it’s okay to be honest and that it’s okay to ask for help. And the other part of it is I get to hear the best stories and compliments, sometimes even people saying they’re still alive and getting help because of the work that we do. It’s so incredibly humbling and encouraging.
